I have covered this topic a number of times before, but I sincerely want all of you using LinkedIn, even a little bit, to have this knowledge. Linkedin Name Finder is a must have tool when searching LinkedIn.
I know of at least three IPA affiliates who have made placements using this little copy and paste technique.
LinkedIn is all about network levels. If a person is beyond your third level, you can’t see his/her name – no name – no value. If your network is small, you will be able to view very few profiles with names. Also, with recent LinkedIn changes, a free account allows first names only on your third level.
Every LinkedIn profile automatically has a PUBLIC PROFILE, most are not even aware of this. These public profiles can be found using Google, Bing, Altavista, or Yahoo, but one needs to know how to find it. Very simple!!
Copy the first line from your LinkedIn Advance Search results – title, company, location—go to www.Bing.com, and, using quotations to phrase it exactly, paste the top line into Bing’s search box. We want all results to come from LinkedIn, so we will use Site:Search.
Results from LinkedIn Advanced Search (copy the top line), then paste behind site:linkedin.com

More LinkedIn Name Finder examples and free internet recruiting tips and strategies can be found on my web http://www.internet-recruiting-toolbox.com/LinkedInNameFinder.html
Now available, the best LinkedIn search strategy ever, a must have tip that will save you $1000.00’s a year.
A FREE LinkedIn account is all you need when using techniques in Free LinkedIn and More. Also included are all Technology Tidbits for 2010, 2011 Tidbits as they are written, and updates for a full year – all for $25.00. That's an entire year of current internet recruiting strategies, full access to LinkedIn (at the $499.95 per month level –minus inmails), for $25.00 a year.
