Every Jigsaw business contact is complete with a phone number (over 70% of which are direct dial), position, company, mailing address, and business email address. Jigsaw also offers free tools for researching companies as well as a user generated company research wiki pages.

I use Jigsaw on almost a daily basis. It’s a fast and easy way to not only find people and company information, but also to determine company email patterns. Searching for either a company or a specific person/title is an extremely easy process with many fields to search; location, industry, company size and much more.

There are a number of plans, from free to $49.00 dollars per month. After you have signed up for a free account, click on, UPGRADE, located at the left side of the screen under My Account. Here you can get full information on what each plan offers.

Let me show you how Jigsaw can help you find a person with contact information. We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. We start by selecting Find Contact from the toolbar at the top of Jigsaw’s homepage. The advanced search box appears. We then enter Maintenance Manager in the title and check Manager Level.

In the next section, we can either choose a major city or use the zip code or area codes for unlisted cities. Since Pittsburgh is not listed, we enter area codes 412 and 724 (found at www.NANPA.com). If you wish to enter a zip code instead, these can be found through http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/. You then have the option to select the industry.

This search yields twenty-three results for this search. Clicking on UPDATE located at the top right of the screen will arrange the contacts according to how recently they have been updated.

Jigsaw Training - Company Search

Local companies can be found using Jigsaw’s Find Companies option. Clicking on Advanced Search located at the top of the homepage and selecting Find Companies will bring up the drop down list. The form is identical to the candidate search form.

Carol M. Martin CPC, CIR, CSSR** has been an Executive Recruiter for 24 years. Her company, Martin Management, Inc. was created in 1988. The first ten years of business were food industry, manufacturing job orders, from Production Supervisor to Vice President of Manufacturing. The company then evolved to supplier(working only the candidate side)in all manufacturing industries, filling operations positions as well as all types of engineering titles.
Carol holds a BA Degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.
