Using the Site:Search technique(tapping into the Public Profile), you can see people in all LinkedIn Groups without membership. This is a handy tool when searching for contacts from a specific school.
From the Groups menu in Linkedin, find the Group you would like to view. I have chosen:
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Alumni Group. The name needs to be copied exactly the way it appears. Simply copy and paste the group name into a Google box using quotation marks. Adding site:linkedin.com will search ONLY LinkedIn. Using Quality Manager as a keyword will result in contacts who have quality manager in their profile and have a degree from UW-Madison.

As with all Site:Searches, it’s very simple and fast and you can see full profiles on all.
Good luck with your searches.
