BRIANJOHNSTONI used to be quite frustrated trying to market myself and my company in traditional ways online, but when I began behaving like the largest predatory fish in the sea, things changed....

Some GREAT WHITE SHARK Facts:

  • Great White sharks lose more than one thousand teeth in a lifetime.
  • Great White sharks are not all white.
  • Great White sharks can eat a huge meal, and survive months.
  • Great White sharks can breed late in life.
  • Great White sharks can eat a sea lion whole.
  • Great White sharks a BAD ASS MOTHER FU$*ers!!!

If you are frustrated, like I was a few years ago in regards to TECHNOLOGY shifts, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. It is like jungle with no beginning and no end, and every so called guru (SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERT) wants to sell you the “Magic Pill”, so you can get found online, convert followers into subscribers, and subscribers into paying customers.

Well, I figured it out, and so can you…. “If” you behave like a great white shark, and lure your prey into your hub/website. (“Inbound Recruiting Principles”) But, If you behave like an old school “phone jockey”, you will LOSE your ASS by 2015 (Internet matures)…. So I will pray (not prey) for you and your family starting now. (ADAPT OR DIE A SLOW, PAINFUL DEATH)

TIPS:

  • Make sure you web page is kick ass, with a free offer, and web form that communicates with your CRM (I use infusionsoft)
  • Blog every week (What about? Problems your customers have )
  • Make YouTube your best friend (#2 search engine, Google owns them!)
  • Testimonials on your web page (Video moves people to action more)
  • Integrate your social media with web page (Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and G+ gaining steam…)
  • Web site MUST BE OPTIMIZED FOR MOBILE DEVICES…
  • Have a VISION/Purpose in life/work
  • Build and Nurture your list/rolodex
  • Analyze your traffic (I use hubspot, Google analytics is free)
  • Test PPC or Facebook ads (they do work)

Ok, I need to get back to work, however these are a few tips to avoid fighting for prey (like sharks).
