meIt often surprises me that though we are in an industry which is highly regulated, still many in the Recruiting and Staffing Industry are unfamiliar of the Federal and State Agencies, Laws and Acts which oversee almost every step of the duties we perform as recruiters on a Daily basis. Unfortunately, many of us would rather turn a blind eye to the issues that Dictate our daily functions in Recruitment, H.R. and Employment rather than be aware.

I have personally heard many arguments from individuals that though they appreciate the knowledge that being aware of the industry standards may create a form of paranoia, and that worrying about every move they make would slow them down, maybe prevent them from functioning to the best of their abilities.

The issues and challenges that the hired candidate will manage are an increasing burden on the shorthanded staff. No one wants to say so, but people are muttering that this person must not exist.
